Time on Prince Edward Island is dictated by ocean tides; they come in, they go out, they’re a lovely rhythm in our daily lives. Our Island Tide collection is inspired by this rhythm. Each piece of stoneware has a strip of unglazed red clay that is hand-etched with an organic wave pattern as the piece spins on the wheel. The pattern reminds us of a summer beach walk, the tide is out, and it’s left a perfect canvas of smooth red sand. We pick up a piece of driftwood and start to draw.
